Hello Everyone, I am here with my first review. There was a time when social issues, mindless comedies and romantic dramas were all that were churned out of the Hindi Film Industry or Bollywood if you prefer to call it that way. And then in 2003, Koi... Mil Gaya came out as a special effect science fiction film and took the industry by storm. It broke all the box-office records and for the second time Hrithik Roshan won 2 filmfares in the same year(first was for Kaho na Pyaar Hai). Following it came the sequel, Krrish(2006), the first actual superhero film from the Indian cinema. Success of Koi... Mil Gaya was surpassed and in the process Rakesh Roshan established the Sci-fi and Superhero genres in the industry. On August 5, 2013, the trailer of the most awaited film since last 4 years, Krrish 3, was launched.

The trailer right from the beginning pulls the audience's attention. Rohit(Hrithik), the genius father is seen holding an experimental gadget to utilise the solar energy and use it for the betterment of the world. But in a far land they say, there is an evil being born to rule the world. A laboratory with robotic arms shuffling chemical containers around and voice over by the villain Kaal(Vivek Oberoi) saying "Kaal ki qayanaat mein welcome"(welcome to Kaal's world). His voice is convincing as the super-villain. Cut to, A magneto kind of character attracting metal to stick to him, cut to, a hightech rocket launching and blast in night sky. Brilliant Vfx so far, no complaints or disappointments. Cut to, a female(may be Kangna Ranaut) jumping off a tall building and landing very smooth and swift, something like a cat-woman, beautifully executed. Again a sky blast and the magneto kind of guy and a mutant with a tongue like that of a frog. Cut to, A construction sight, very high ground in silence, swoosh lands Krrish(Hrithik), the first look of the hero with words fading in and out "one man has to battle like never before". Followed by a series of fighting in the air, mutant like characters, superb stunts, engaging visuals. Must say, so far best looking vfx for an Indian film. Then there is a hint of romance between Hrithik and Priyanka and also father-son bond. I can see some changes in the costume there, for better of course.
Krrish 3's theatrical trailer attracts more than one could expect. Reveals some and conceals most, keeps you wondering and keeps you feeling that there is something in this film to go for. I haven't seen a trailer of a bollywood action film that had pulled me like this ever before. Ra.one had a brilliant one, but this one leaves it miles behind.
P.S: The review is not based on any sort of comparison with hollywood flicks and their vfx, as it would be unfair to do so when the films budget is just a tenth of whats theirs is. The trailer might be disappointing if you are one of those who do make comparisons between the two film industries.
Here have a look and decide:
