Jai Ho!! Film Review

There have been a number of BMAs(Bollywood Masala Action) releases in the last half a decade. Normally they have a speciality.. They are pointless. When I usually go to see a BMA, I have very less expectations from the film in terms of content and I come back without disappointment.

Jai ho! does not disappoint, instead it has proven to be otherwise.. its not pointless. Instead, it instills in the audience the importance of extending a helping hand, the importance of charity and persuading others to do it as well. It does it the Salman Khan way. It no doubt is ridiculously action packed, but that is how Salman is.

Starts off with action and ends with victory.. thats not all for this one.. it is what is within.. it is about what the fight is for and how a guy who doesn't want it, gets into it.

Jai Agnihotri is a suspended army officer, living a peaceful life with his mother. He has a sister Geeta(Tabbu) who is married and is happy with her husband Rehaan(Mahesh Thakur) and a notorious, outspoken son. Jai witnesses a series of incidents that he can not ignore. He helps and wants others to help the needy. So much is he concerned that he wants to instill  humanity, the generosity in people. In the process, he gets, unknowingly involved in a fight.. against the system. How he fights and how he brings them down is the rest of the movie. Does the world change? Do people understand the charity network? Does his dream come to life? Find out for yourself.

Salman Khan is above his usual self. His roar is enough to run half the goons away. Tabbu is excelent. The kid Kabeer(Naman Jain) is amazing. The movie, could have been the same with any actress.. although, Daisy Shah is not too bad for the first film. Danny is the same as always. Loads of stars in the film that I never knew were in there and all have done well(Except Jai's mother, she irritated the soul out of me).Action is unreal but good to watch.

Watch it for your usual masala affair but you surely will take a message home.
